Purpose of this blog

Personal missionary work as a coordinator for the college students who graduated from Institution Univers in Ouanaminthe, HAITI.

I act as a liaison for those currently in college and their sponsors, until the students have all graduated, whether in USA, Haiti or the Dominican Republic.
As well, I encourage those who have graduated from college but have not yet returned to Haiti, to return to fulfill the purpose of their education, for themselves, their families, their country and most importantly, for God.

Called to Ministry

We have a young man named Hebert Johnson ELIEN who will graduate from Institution Univers on June 28, 2015. Hebert expressed during the career assessments last Fall that he feels called to the ministry, specifically to be a pastor. After applying to Christian colleges, Elim Bible College and Institute has confirmed with me as of today, that they will gift Hebert with a $5,000 scholarship. This represents a little less than 50% of the cost for Hebert to attend Elim Bible College. We still need a total of $6,400.00.

Would you please prayerfully consider becoming Hebert's financial sponsor?

We only have one week to accept this gift before the college gives it to another applicant.
Please contact me immediately for more information.

Thank you so much.
All for Him,

p.s. I've requested a photo of Hebert from our office at Univers to post. As soon as I receive it, I'll post it. In the meantime, please read his college essay:

Personal Statement Essay for College Application by Hebert Johnson ELIEN
To: Elim Bible Institute and College
It’s been a long time that I have wanted to be a pastor to study theology in a good college where they proclaim Jesus Christ our Lord the Messiah, and where they know He is God. I have prayed in spite of not knowing yet where I am going to study, but nothing is impossible to God our Father and Lord. Everything is possible with God. I am very happy when I worship God, when I praise His name, when I speak with my friends and classmates about the Word of God. I like to share His Glory.
There are so many religions in Haiti but only one true God. I always go to church and learn from Bible study to help me grow in God. I want to know more about Christ. God protects me every day. I want to stay at His voice.  When I hear the Word of God He makes me strong in my faith. A Christian should be connected in the faith of the Gospel because it is by faith that we must overcome the world. On this we build unshaken hope, especially when we consider Christ’s merit and grace, and that salvation is by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us.
The significant moment in my life was when I heard the Word of God that influenced my Christian faith. Sometimes when I hear the Word of God and meditate on some verses in the Bible I think about the plan God has for my life. He will change my life. I feel my relationship with the Lord has a strong influence on my little brothers because they are beginning to love God, too. I want to be an example to my little brothers’, to affect their lives and encourage them to follow God and follow my example. This is a responsibility.
I want to study theology in a college where they raise the Bible very high. I think Elim Bible Institute is one of the colleges, because my pastor in Haiti told me, that wherever they want to know you before they take you or if they do not tolerate you, that means they love God, and even God loves us so much He cannot tolerate our sin. In His holiness God wants to change us, and when a student goes to Elim Bible Institute his life changes. I can tell because the Word of God is so powerful at Elim Bible Institute. I want to attend Elim Bible Institute to help the community by becoming a pastor, to share the Gospel, and if it’s possible, to bring many people to God our Savior, because He says, “Go to all nations and make disciples”. We are six in my family. My father is a tailor and my mother is a teacher. My parents do not have the opportunity to pay for my university.
I know if God chooses me to serve Him He will find a place to be using me. I will say “Lord, here I am, send me”, and all the glory is for the almighty God.
Respectfully submitted,
Hebert Johnson ELIEN
