Purpose of this blog

Personal missionary work as a coordinator for the college students who graduated from Institution Univers in Ouanaminthe, HAITI.

I act as a liaison for those currently in college and their sponsors, until the students have all graduated, whether in USA, Haiti or the Dominican Republic.
As well, I encourage those who have graduated from college but have not yet returned to Haiti, to return to fulfill the purpose of their education, for themselves, their families, their country and most importantly, for God.

About Me

In August 2018, I had to resign from my position at Institution Univers.

I am now a personal missionary working as a coordinator for the college students remaining in college until they have all graduated, whether in USA, Haiti or the Dominican Republic. The last student to graduate is expected to occur in 2022.

Here's a snapshot of my previous history in the ministry:

After seven short-term mission trips, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of Haiti C.O.C.I.N.A. (Coalition of Children in Need Association) for three years, God called me to Haiti for a permanent position, as Director of High School Graduate Placement in 2012. One of the principles of the school is to rise a generation that will change the nation through education, therefore it was time to put a formalized graduate placement program in place at Institution Univers.

Of recent, my role has changed and now I am a personal missionary to Univers, helping to raise funding through U.S. sponsors for students to go on to universities and colleges within Haiti or the Dominican Republic, as well as assist where needed at the school or clinic, when in Haiti. I travel to Haiti four to five times a year, about three weeks in duration per stay.

I am overwhelmed to have the privilege of seeing His Hand moving to confirm as He has called me, and continues to call me back to Haiti.

When in Haiti, Emmanuel Joseph '09 Univers graduate and Alice Lloyd College, KY graduate, provide continual career assessment and counseling to the high school seniors.

I have a Bible study ministry held in my apartment on Saturdays to serve the young adults in the community of Ouanaminthe. We are all learning so much from each other, as I facilitate the teaching. They take their faith very seriously. It is an inspiration to me!

I have an "open door" policy both in my office at the school and at my apartment (literally, as it's too hot to keep the door closed!!), so that the Haitian young people feel welcome any time they want to visit, hang out, chat...whatever they need. This is new to them as this is not typical in Haitian culture.
I'm so honored that they invite me 'into their world'.

And now...
Currently, I am privileged to serve the college students who are currently working on their bachelors degrees and masters degrees that they have been blessed to receive scholarship to complete. There are currently 16 students and sponsors that I am involved with, studying in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and USA.

All Glory be to our Great God!
